Perfect for efficient pruning of mature wood, these secateurs combine power with ease, making it simple to manage difficult branches.

How to use:

  • Use ratchet mode for thick branches and mature wood, cutting in four short steps.
  • Switch to single mode for smaller branches and quick cuts, up to 18mm.
  • Wipe blades with an oiled cloth after use and sharpen as needed for optimal performance.

Maintenance and care

  • Store in a dry environment to avoid moisture damage.
  • Clean thoroughly, removing soil and debris, and dry before storing to prevent rust and rot.
  • Apply linseed oil to wood handles if applicable; wipe metal parts with a damp cloth.
  • Clean tools used for chemical applications to prevent corrosion.

How To Care For Your Secateurs

Taking care of secateurs means they will continue to perform at their peak. We recommend that you don't leave your secateurs outside when not in use. Wipe them after use, and allow them to completely dry. Store them away in a dry environment, such as your greenhouse, shed or garage. Even in dry weather conditions your tools, if left outside, are exposed to moisture from wet grass and dew.

For all wood handled tools such as these secateurs you can even apply a light coating of boiled linseed oil to help prevent the wood from drying out and cracking. If the wooden handle is very dirty, remove as much of the soil as possible. If you need to use water, gently wet the handle with a damp cloth, making sure that you don’t soak the wood, as this may cause the grain to lift and the handle to swell.
