Nature's Haven Calendula Cantaloupe Seeds also known as Marigold produce summer long colour in an unusual mix of pastel shades.

Perfect for sunny patios and borders. Great for cutting to create floral displays in your house.

Sowing Indoors
For earlier flowering, sturdier plants, sow in trays of moist seed compost, lightly covering with a little more compost and keep in gentle warmth, 10-15°C.

Growing On
Plant 5cm apart into trays of compost when seedlings are large enough to handle. Gradually accustom to cooler conditions before planting out from April onwards, allowing about 30cm between plants.

Sowing Outdoors
Rake soil to provide a firm, even surface. Sow seeds thinly in pre-watered soil, lightly covering them with a little more soil. Keep moist until seedlings appear and as required in dry spells. When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to allow their development and to prevent overcrowding.

Advice
Calendula petals are edible and make a colourful addition to salads.

How to grow

Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered seed compost, but don't cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.
