When to Use:
Sow when soil temperatures are between 7°C and 18°C. Below 6°C, seed germination may be delayed until conditions improve.

How to Use:

• Best Conditions: Ideal soil temperature for germination is consistently 10°C to 18°C, with Fast Start beginning to germinate at 7°C. Deviations from this range can slow germination.

• Preparation: Clear debris and weeds before sowing.

• Sowing:

  1. Water the soil thoroughly the day before sowing, especially in dry conditions.
  2. Shake the box to mix seeds.
  3. Use the built-in side applicator:
     • New Lawn/Patch Repair: 40g/m²
     • Revitalising Existing Lawn: 30g/m²

  4. Lightly rake the area to incorporate seeds and press them into the soil by walking or rolling over the sown area.

• Watering:
  Water thoroughly with a fine-rose watering can or sprinkler, ensuring seeds stay in place. In dry conditions, water daily to keep soil moist until germination.

Aftercare:

1. First cut when grass reaches 5-8cm (2-3 inches) high.
2. Gradually lower the cutting height to about 2.5cm (1 inch), avoiding removing more than one-third of the grass height at once.
3. Feed your lawn after at least two cuts with recommended products like Westland SafeLawn, Aftercut Ultra Green, or Aftercut Lawn Thickener.

This user-friendly spreader ensures precise application of seeds and fertilisers, minimising waste and maximising your lawn’s potential. Its durable design makes it easy to manoeuvre around your garden, while the adjustable settings allow you to tailor the spread according to your needs.

• Before Use: Always set the adjustable lever to zero before adding the Westland product.

• Avoid Spillage: Fill the spreader off the lawn, placing it on a sheet of newspaper or plastic to catch any spills.

• Setting the Spreader: Adjust the calibration lever on top of the hopper to the appropriate setting. Start walking immediately after adjusting, as the product will begin to discharge.

• Stripes for Efficiency: Treat 2/3 of the lawn edges first to avoid difficult manoeuvres around fences and hedges, then continue with striped application across the rest of the lawn.

• Application: Walk at a steady pace, slightly overlapping edges to ensure even coverage until you've covered the entire area.

• Watering: If no rain falls within 48 hours, water the lawn thoroughly.

• Safety: The lawn is safe for children and pets once the product has been watered in.
