This vibrant Salix variety offers beautiful seasonal interest all year. In spring, the young leaves emerge in stunning shades of pink, green, and white, decorating neat, vertical stems. These colorful hues create a striking display, especially when planted in a border or large container, perfect for smaller gardens or balconies.

In winter, the leaves fall to reveal bright red stems that gleam in the winter sun, creating beautiful silhouettes. To maintain its colour-rich look, prune the stems to about 7-8cm (3 in) in February and add mulch around the base to encourage strong growth. This Salix variety thrives in moist soils, making it an excellent choice for areas with poor drainage.

Consider planting spring bulbs like pink tulips and hyacinths underneath to complement the emerging pink leaves, adding to the overall visual appeal. With proper care, this tree provides striking beauty throughout the year.
