Description
- Sweet, succulent and full of flavour.
- Good for pots and containers.
- Vibrant addition to salads.
Lovely spherical uniform beets that produce attractive globe shaped, orange-yellow roots that turn a golden yellow colour when cooked. With a sweet flavour, the small beets can be used as salad beetroot, whilst the mature beets can be used in salads or cooked as a vegetable.
Leaves can also be used in cooking; just steam the leaves as you would spinach.
Due to its compact size, this is a great crop to grow if you’re short of space and will thrive in pots and containers.

How to Guide
Sow outdoors
March-August: Sow direct into the required harvest position, 2.5cm (1 in) deep. Keep soil moist at all times to prevent roots becoming dry and woody. Thin out to 10cm (4in), or 5cm (2in) for baby beets.
Tips
Use thinnings as baby leaf. Use fleece to protect crop from frost or cold wind. Twist off the tops to prevent ‘bleeding’. Sow a little and often for a long harvest period.
