An attractive introduction to the range for 2022, savoy cabbage ‘Tourmaline’ is disease resistant and can withstand cold weather. Not to mention it boasts an excellent flavour once cooked! Produces a good crop of compact, dark green heads.
Sow indoors
January-May: Sow seeds thinly 1cm (1?2in) deep in clean module trays of firm pre-watered compost. Place in warmth 10-15°C (50-60°F) and keep moist.
Sow outdoors
April-May: Sow seeds thinly 1cm (1?2in) deep in a seed bed or clean module trays of firm pre-watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times. Protect from frost. Thin to 10cm (4in).
Plant out
May-June: Plant out into the required harvest position 30cm (12in) apart with 30cm (12in) between each row when plants have 3-4 true leaves.
