Harvest
Cherry Stella is a brilliant self-fertile variety, it is easy to grow and is very productive. The fruits are very large, dark red and exceptionally juicy and sweet with the typical sweet cherry flavour.
If you have only ever had cherries from a market stall or from the supermarket then you will be very pleased with the delicious flavour of fresh Stella cherries eaten straight from you tree.
This variety was one of the first of the modern self-fertile cherry types, introduced in the UK from Canada in the 1970s. Before this point the only way to grow cherries at your home was to plant two different varieties and dealing with the complications of cherry cross-pollination.
As these cherries are both self-fertile and also have very good flavour, this variety has very quickly become popular for being the ideal garden cherry tree. It can be grown very easily on its own.
There are a number of different self-fertile cherry varieties, but if you are looking to grow just one cherry tree that Stella is the variety for you.
It is actually a very good pollinator for other cherries including all of the traditional English cherries (many of these are not self-fertile and require complicated steps for pollination).
It is a good first choice if you want to add a number of cherry Tree to you garden or orchard at a later date.

Guide To Plant Sizes
7cm-10L Potted Shrubs
Tree, shrubs, perennials and climbers come in a range of pot sizes. Available through the year, they will be sent to you well packed for plant protection during transit. The appearance of your plant will vary depending on the season in which they are purchased. As a rule of thumb, the larger the pot, the larger the plant growth. Each increase in pot size means roughly another year’s growth for better instant impact.
Bare Root
Several of our plants come supplied as bare roots. Despite appearances, they are alive and well. They have been previously grown in the ground and lifted when dormant throughout the winter months, so that when you receive them they are strong, full of energy and ready to be planted out. This is our most economical way to buy many plant varieties including roses, strawberries, Tree and bushes. Soak well prior to planting in their final position.
