This 100% natural, specially blended peat-free compost is ideal for your fruit and vegetable patches and containers. Packed full of all the essential minerals that are required for strong healthy growth. Created using both Sheep’s wool and bracken, that are blended together resulting in a compost that allows you to grow strong, tasty and nutritious produce.
Bracken provides naturally high levels of potash, essential for fruiting and flowering and significant levels of iron and magnesium to nourish strong healthy plants. Requiring up to 50% less water as Sheep’s wool ensures great water retention due to its natural hygroscopic properties and naturally high levels of nitrogen. As the proteins in wool break down, nitrogen is gradually released, acting as a slow-release fertiliser which feeds them throughout the growing season and keeps your plants fruiting and flowering.
If you are growing for showing or simply growing to enjoy eating your own vegetables with Dalefoot wool compost you will experience healthier yields from a 100% natural source, giving you peace of mind knowing where you produce has come from. Or if you are serious of a professional gardener then with this addition you too can win at your local vegetable show.
Dalefoot wool compost is now available as 60L, sold to you in 2 x 30ltr bags. Perfect if you have a bigger garden or allotment.
Now with added Comfrey! – the organic gardeners best friend – a ‘dynamic accumulator’ packed with nutrients is added into the Wool Compost range. Grown sustainably at Dalefoot farm, Comfrey's ‘Bocking 14’ variety has high levels of potassium, phosphorous & nitrogen for healthy plant growth, larger flowers & bigger crops. And like the rest of Dalefoot’s range, it has been approved by the Soil Association for organic growing.
For orders of 3 bags or more additional delivery charges will apply.
