Before you begin

Loosen the compost with your hands before use to restore its natural, crumbly texture.

Fill your seed tray with compost, then water gently. Sow seeds as directed on the packet and cover lightly. Keep trays out of direct sunlight while seeds germinate.

Beds & Borders

Dig a hole twice as wide and deep as the root ball. Set your plant in place, backfill with compost, and water well to help it settle in.

Pots & Baskets

Carefully remove your plant from its old pot, shake off loose compost, and place it in its new container. Fill around the roots with fresh compost and water thoroughly.
