About Carbon Gold Biochar®

Now enriched with Carbon Gold Biochar®, this fine-grade, highly porous charcoal helps lock in moisture and nutrients while providing a natural habitat for beneficial microbes. These microbes help boost plant health and improve resistance to pests and diseases, giving your plants the best possible start.

Made from loam for stability, sand and grit for drainage, and added potassium humate for root stimulation, this compost is both peat-free and carbon-neutral. The biochar element stores carbon during production, and by including it in this blend, we’re helping create more sustainable growing options for gardeners everywhere.

Use when potting on young plants for a nutrient-rich, environmentally conscious foundation. For continued healthy growth, feed regularly with a high-quality plant food.

How To Use

Potting:
Water your plant thoroughly, then gently remove it from its current pot. Shake off any loose compost and place into a new container with fresh compost. Fill around the root ball, firm gently and water well.

Planting Out:
Dig a hole roughly twice the size of the root ball. Position the plant in the centre, backfill with fresh compost, firm in and water thoroughly.

Keep Deadheading:
Regularly remove faded blooms to encourage more flowers and keep plants looking their best.

Top Tip:
If your plants look pale or the leaves begin to yellow, give them a feed with Boost All Purpose Plant Food—specially designed to work brilliantly with peat-reduced and peat-free composts.
