- Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society
- UK-hardy tree
- Produces fruit in consecutive sunny summers
Grow fig Brown Turkey for fruit in your kitchen garden if you have a sheltered spot or greenhouse that receives lots of sun.
The leaves are super attractive and the tree itself is UK hardy.
If you are lucky enough to get a sunny summer the taste of fresh figs is wonderful. Even in dull summers you can enjoy the jammy scent that the attractive leaves emit.
If growing outside pick off any of the larger figs in November that didn't make it to full ripeness and leave the small, bead-size fruits to over-winter for fruit the following summer.
