'Flore pleno' is an incredibly robust and attractive genus of Galanthus. A double snowdrop, this variety produces dainty white flowers approximately 2.5cm long with lightly painted green detail at the apex of the petals.

The flowers are slightly scented and rise above the foliage with narrow grey-green coloured leaves which appear from late winter into early spring. This variety is best suited to planting en masse in woodland areas, lawns and under deciduous trees.

Growing Flore pleno as 'bulbs in the green' will mean that the plants will establish very quickly in almost any soil, in both sunny spots or partially shaded areas of your garden. This is due to the bulbs being lifted and supplied active whilst they are in flower or in leaf making them much stronger the following year.

This method is highly popular when compared to bulbs which are available in the autumn, these must work much harder in order to get re-established after they are lifted and dried out.

Galanthus 'Flore pleno' plants will grow to approximately 20-25cm tall and once established will naturalise well. These plants are grown from stock that has been cultivated in the UK. Our bulbs are responsibly sourced and are not collected from the wild.
