This Kent & Stowe Border Fork is made from the highest quality ash and stainless steel. It’s durable so it’ll last for years and its extended shank gives improved strength.
Border Forks are an essential tool for any gardener, being used almost daily, so it’s important that yours is hard-wearing. The Kent & Stowe range of crafted quality garden tools reflects traditional British gardening heritage and will last a lifetime.
Perfect for cultivation, soil turning, aerating and breaking up the soil in borders and beds. The extended handle makes it easier to keep a straighter back and reduce bending.
Caring for your Tools
Proper Storage
To keep your tools performing at their best, always store them in a dry environment after use. Even in dry weather, moisture from wet grass and dew can cause damage if tools are left outside.
Cleaning and Drying Remove soil and debris after each use by washing off dirt. Never store tools while wet—allow them to dry completely to prevent rust and handle rot. Maintaining Wooden Handles Apply a light coat of boiled linseed oil to wooden handles to prevent drying and cracking. If very dirty, clean with a stiff brush and a damp cloth, avoiding excessive water to prevent swelling and grain lifting. Chemical Exposure Thoroughly clean any tools used for applying fertilisers or chemicals, as these substances can quickly corrode metal surfaces.
