Flowering
Unwins French Marigold Tiger Eyes Seeds are striking bi-coloured flowers of the dwarf variety.
They will add a cheery burst of colour to your garden, producing dark maroon flowers with a beautiful burnt orange centre. They are easy to grow and perfect for pots and containers too.
Sowing IndoorsAlmost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth, 10-15°C and keep moist.
Growing OnKeep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost.
Hardening Off / Planting OutGradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 25cm between plants.
AftercareWater regularly, especially in warm weather, feed fortnightly when flowering and remove dead flowers to prolong the display.
How to grow
Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered seed compost, but don't cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.
