Spring Onion ‘Eiffel’ is a British-bred variety with upright leaves and a mild flavour. An improved version of ‘White Lisbon’ with better disease resistance, it is very slow to form bulbs and ideal for successional sowing.

Sow outdoors

March-September: Sow thinly 1cm (1/2in) deep and in rows 20cm (8in) apart directly in harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times until seedlings are established.

Tips

No need to thin, just pull when onions are young and slender. Sow little and often for continuous supply. Spring onions perform well in containers and are quick to crop. September sowings can be overwintered.
