Award-winning sugar snap pea ‘Norli’ is an early-cropping variety producing heavy yields of deliciously sweet, stringless flat pods. This compact pea can be grown in a container, and has good disease resistance. It holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its superlative performance in the vegetable garden.
Sow outdoors
Sow in a flat bottomed trench 5cm (2in) deep, 20cm (8in) wide. Water the trench and sow seeds 7.5cm (3in) apart. Carefully backfill the trench and firm lightly. Keep soil moist at all times. Allow 60cm (24in) between rows.
Support
As peas start to grow use netting supported by pea sticks or some broken tree twigs to support growth.
Aftercare
Keep well watered, especially in dry spells. Use netting to protect pea crops from bird or moth damage.
