The SureCut All Purpose Lite Bypass Secateurs by Kent & Stowe are designed to provide accurate, smooth cuts with ease. Featuring durable SK5 carbon steel blades, these secateurs handle fresh, green plants and foliage effortlessly. With a die-cast aluminium frame and a bi-material micro hex grip, these secateurs offer unmatched comfort and usability for any gardener.

They come with a central lock for left- and right-handed users and an adjustable hand sizer, making them universally suitable. Perfect for deadheading, pruning, taking cuttings, and trimming close to buds, they maintain the health of delicate stems with minimal bruising.

Maintenance and care

  • Store in a dry place after each use to prevent moisture damage.
  • Clean thoroughly, removing soil and debris from blades and handles.
  • Dry before storing to prevent rust and rot; apply linseed oil to wood handles as needed.
  • For dirty tools, gently wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking wood to prevent damage.
  • Tools used with chemicals should be cleaned to prevent corrosion.

How To Care For Your Secateurs

Taking care of secateurs means they will continue to perform at their peak. We recommend that you don't leave your secateurs outside when not in use. Wipe them after use, and allow them to completely dry. Store them away in a dry environment, such as your greenhouse, shed or garage. Even in dry weather conditions your tools, if left outside, are exposed to moisture from wet grass and dew.

For all wood handled tools such as these secateurs you can even apply a light coating of boiled linseed oil to help prevent the wood from drying out and cracking. If the wooden handle is very dirty, remove as much of the soil as possible. If you need to use water, gently wet the handle with a damp cloth, making sure that you don’t soak the wood, as this may cause the grain to lift and the handle to swell.
