Flowering
The unmistakable scent of wallflowers is one of the first signs that spring has arrived. 'Dwarf Bedder Mix' has been a favourite with gardeners for generations, producing compact plants covered in richly coloured flower spikes that bring warmth, fragrance and colour to the garden after the long winter months.
Perfect for filling beds, borders, patio pots and containers, these easy-going plants create traditional spring displays that never go out of style. Their vibrant flowers combine beautifully with tulips, daffodils, primroses and other spring favourites, adding height, texture and a wonderful burst of seasonal colour.
Hardy and easy to grow, they thrive in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Remove faded flower stems as they finish to keep displays looking their best and enjoy weeks of colourful, fragrant blooms throughout the season.
How To Grow
Garden Ready Plants:
Garden Ready Plants are supplied well established and can be planted straight into beds, borders, containers or hanging baskets as soon as they arrive. If you can't plant them immediately, keep them well watered in a bright, sheltered spot and stand them in a shallow tray of water for a short time if needed.
Plant into fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Water thoroughly after planting to help establish a strong root system before winter. Once established, plants will usually only need watering during prolonged dry spells.
Many autumn bedding varieties will flower through autumn, slow down during the coldest part of winter, then burst back into flower as temperatures rise in spring. Remove faded blooms when practical to encourage fresh flowers and feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser in early spring to support the next flush of colour.
Guide To Plant Sizes
