Buddleja ‘Butterfly Candy Little Sweetheart’ is one of the popular Butterfly Candy range of dwarf buddlejas. This compact shrub flowers for months in summer, and the sweetly scented purple flowerheads are a magnet for butterflies, bees and other pollinators. Growing to just 80cm (2.5ft) tall, it’s perfect for containers and small borders, and ideal for low-maintenance gardens.

Can’t plant straight away?

Place in a sheltered spot and water regularly to keep the compost moist

Planting tips and hints:

Dig a hole approximately twice as deep and 3 times as wide as the plant’s rootball. If your soil is heavy mix in a soil improver before backfilling. Place the plant in the hole so that it sits at the same level in the ground as it did in the pot. Firm the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.

Feeding and aftercare: Water container-grown plants regularly in dry periods. Deadhead to prolong the flowering period. Prune in spring, cutting back to 3-4 buds from the base of the plant.
