This colourful summer-flowering mix will attract butterflies and other beneficial insects to your garden. Made up of mainly perennials plus a few hardy annuals, it improves biodiversity in the garden, helping to keep harmful garden pests under control as well as adding colour and life to borders and veg plots.

Sow outdoors

Rake soil to provide a firm, even surface. Sow seeds thinly 0.5cm deep in pre-watered soil, lightly covering them with a little more soil. Sowings made in semi-circular lines create a natural ‘drift’ effect. Keep moist until seedlings appear and as required in dry spells.

Thinning

When large enough to handle thin seedlings to allow their development and prevent overcrowding.

How to grow

Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered seed compost, but don't cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.
