Exciting new Philadelphus ‘Pearls of Perfume’ keeps on flowering all summer long, filling the air with the scent of its fragrant white double flowers. The flowers are produced on this year’s shoots as well as last year’s, giving a much longer flowering period than other Philadelphus varieties. This compact, bushy shrub is perfect for a mixed border.

Place in a sheltered spot and water regularly to keep the compost moist

Planting tips and hints:

Dig a hole approximately twice as deep and 3 times as wide as the plant’s rootball. If your soil is heavy mix in a soil improver before backfilling. Place the plant in the hole so that it sits at the same level in the ground as it did in the pot. Firm the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.

Feeding and aftercare: Mulch in spring with compost or well-rotted farmyard manure. Prune after flowering, cutting back stems to a strong bud. On established shrubs, cut back one in every five old stems to ground level.
