Flowering
Nature's Haven Sunflower White Nite Seeds are a very elegant sunflower. White Nite has lovely creamy petals that mature into white, contrasted with a golden brown centre.
These single stemmed flowers have sturdy stems that are ideal for cutting. White Nite is also rich in nectar but pollen-free.
Sowing IndoorsFill a small (7-8cm) pot with seed compost, shake level and firm with the base of another pot. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually into compost, pushing seeds to 1cm deep. Place in a propagator at 15-20°C or cover pot with cling film and leave in a warm room.
Growing OnWhen shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. Grow on in a minimum temperature of 10°C.
Planting OutGradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when risk of frost has passed. Water well until established.
Sowing OutdoorsSow seeds in pre-watered soil at a depth of 1.5cm in their flowering positions. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established. Thin out as required.AftercareWater well, especially in warm weather and feed regularly when flowering starts.
How to grow
Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered seed compost, but don't cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.
