Weed Stop is totally natural and there’s no need to use expensive, harmful and time-consuming chemicals on the soil. Westland Weed Stop Decorative Ground Cover can stop weeds growing for up to 6 months, leaving you more time to focus on planting and enjoying your garden.
Being a decorative cover, Weed Stop looks much like bark but has around a 33 per cent better covering and is much more effective at weed control. Plant roots stay protected under Weed Stop but the light is blocked to prevent weed germination. This natural mulch, made from a blend of wood fibre and bark, is versatile for use in all soil types and across beds, baskets, containers and pots.
The ground should be stripped of any existing weeds before use and the soil should be well watered too. Westland Weed Stop Decorative Ground Cover simply needs spreading over the top of the soil and any larger clumps broken down. Use gloves while applying. Weed Stop is safe around pets, animals and children straight after applying.
