Flowering
Nature's Haven Aquilegia Nora Barlow Seeds, also known as columbine, produce masses of charming pink and white flowers. Elegant and upright, this beautiful hardy perennial is brilliant for pollinators, attracting bees and butterflies into your garden all throughout the flowering season!
A very popular plant, aquilegia is valued by gardeners for its early flowering period, bringing colour into gardens at the start of the season!
Sowing IndoorsAlmost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in the warmth, 10-25°C and keep moist.
Growing OnKeep seedlings in a light position but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost. Alternatively, transplant individually into 8cm pots.
Planting OutGradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting from April onwards. Earlier sowings will flower the same year; later sowings early the following year.
How to grow
Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered seed compost, but don't cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.
