This reliable heritage variety produces wonderfully flavoured crops that can be harvested small or left to mature.

Artichokes are beautiful enough to grow in the flower border and are perennial plants which will produce more heads with each successive year.

How to Guide

Sowing Distance

36in / 90cm

 

Sow Indoors

February-April individually, 1in (2cm) deep in clean module trays of firm pre-watered seed compost. Grow under cool, light conditions.

 

Sow Outdoors

March-April thinly 1in (2cm) deep. Transplant to final positions in summer.

 

Plant Out

Harden off before planting out in May.

 

Tips

Early sowings can be harvested same year, later sowings the following year.
