A pretty, humble yet impactful Californian poppy variety in shades of antique cream and rose. Californian poppy Frilled Rose is easy to grow and thrives in shallow poor soils as well as good free-draining compost. Perfect for dry areas of the country they look charming grown in gravel gardens and alpine gardens.

This lovely variety reveals petals in summer in charming shades of rose and ivory. They go particularly well with miniature pinks, sedums and ground cover like creeping Jenny. Making a great show through the summer you can plant Californian poppy Frilled Rose in containers too.

Consider cutting some of the stems for vases indoors and furnish your windowsills with charming flowers. Partner with pinks, sweet peas or contrasting eucalyptus stems for lovely indoor vase displays.
