Harvest
Super-sturdy late maincrop Chantenay carrot for enjoying harvests in summer and through the autumn too. The broad shoulders of Charisma are resistant to greening and the roots produce an excellent triangular wedge down to a blunt tip end.
Highly resistant to bolting this variety will be perfect for the showbench. An exhibitor’s carrot, we encourage you to grow and show in 2019 at the NVS shows as part of an annual competition.
Typically 15cm in length every carrot gives a good crunch and delicious flavour too. Excellent variety for growing in containers; you don’t even need a vegetable patch – just a 30cm (12in) container.
Useful tips:
Incorporate compost suitable for growing vegetables into the allotment plot or into your containers. This compost both provides a long-term supply of nutrients and soil with an open texture, suitable for developing carrot roots.
