Frequently called Chinese Chives or Chinese Leeks, this Garlic Chives Allium Tuberosum is not common in supermarkets but is popular in Japanese and Chinese dishes.
The fine blades are ideal for adding to stir-frys and egg dishes as well as for adding a subtle garlic flavour to uncooked dishes where raw garlic might be overwhelming
With white star-shaped flowers, this perennial is packed with a wonderfully fragrant onion and garlic scent. Your three plants will grow to around 12 inches (30cm).
The pretty white flowers bloom in the warmth of summer, which is different to the early spring flowers of regular chives. When they are in full bloom pollinators love them for their pure white nectar
