Cleome ‘Colour Fountain Mix’ will turn all heads with its eye-catching scented flowers on tall stems in a mix of pink, purple, red and white shades. Appearing through summer and early autumn, the lightly scented flowers add an elegant touch to the border and are ideal for cutting.

Sow indoors

Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with vermiculite or a little more compost. Place in the warmth, approx 20°C and keep moist.

Grow on

Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost.

Plant out

Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 45cm between plants.

How to grow

Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered seed compost, but don't cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.
