With its strong architectural shape, Cordyline australis 'Atlantic Green' adds year-round interest to a sheltered sunny border. The long arching green leaves fan out in a palm-like effect, contrasting well with more rounded foliage. Mature plants can grow into small trees, and produce clusters of fragrant white flowers in summer.

Plant in a sheltered, sunny spot and protect the stems of young plants from winter frosts by wrapping them in fleece or hessian. Cut back any frost-damaged branches in spring.
