How to Guide

Sow indoors

April-May: Sow 1⁄2in (1cm) deep individually in modules or 3in (8cm) pots of firm pre-watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times. Place in warmth 70-75°F (20-25°C). As seedlings develop grow on under cool, light conditions but not in bright sunlight.  

 

Plant out

June in greenhouse border or grow bags. Train plants up canes or string. Leave 90cm (36in) spacing between rows.

 

Tips

Pick fruit regularly when 6-7in (16-18cm). Keep well watered and feed regularly with a liquid fertiliser.
