Grow a fantastic variety of sweet cucumber from this value pack of 6 quality seeds. Cucumber Delistar F1 seeds will reward you with an unusual but great-tasting cucumber that boasts a thin skin and a delicious taste.
Experienced cucumber growers and newcomers will take to this variety that’s growing in popularity in UK gardens and allotments. Cucumber Delistar combines a crunchy texture with a thin and translucent skin, which means there’s no need for peeling and the crop is much easier on digestion. Children are particularly fond of the breed as it’s fun and delicious, with Cucumber Delistar being ideal for quick, easy and healthy snacks and for filling school lunchboxes.
Cucumber Delistar is a slightly shorter cucumber compared to regular, growing to around 7inches (18cm) in length. It is usually ready for harvest between the summer months of June and September after initial indoor sowing between February and May. It’s so versatile that it can also be successfully grown in large patio containers and pots.
Your great value pack of 6 Cucumber Delistar F1 seeds should be sown individually in pots, to around 1cm deep in good quality potting compost and kept warm at around 20-25°C if possible. The seeds can also be potted in grow bags or a greenhouse border. We recommend feeding Cucumber Delistar plants with a liquid tomato feed when the first fruits have begun to set.
Please note - These seeds should ideally be sown this season. All our packets have ‘Sow by Date’ guidance on them, this is the date the seeds should be sown in order to achieve the highest rate of germination. You will still see the same high-quality plants if sowing in seasons after the ‘Sow by Date’ but may see a reduction in germination rate
