How you will receive your plants:
Selected by our team of experts and sent from our nursery, you will receive your plant in a pot, ready to plant out.
Can’t plant straight away?
Place the pot in a sheltered spot outdoors and water regularly to keep the soil moist.
Planting tips and hints:
Planting in the ground: Plant in fertile, well-drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered position. Before planting, dig in a soil conditioner such as well-rotted farmyard manure to improve the soil.
Planting in containers: Plant in a container filled with a loam-based compost like John Innes no 3.
Aftercare:
Water regularly in the first year after planting. Prune lightly in late winter or early spring if necessary to remove dead or damaged branches. Feed plants in the ground with a slow-release high potash feed in spring then mulch with compost or well-rotted farmyard manure. Feed container-grown plants monthly with a high-potash feed during the growing season. Re-pot container-grown plants in spring if needed.
