White Lisbon Spring Onion Seeds are a quick cropping traditional salad onion, an excellent variety for successional sowing and very hardy, it can be sown in September or October for cropping the following spring.
White Lisbon is deservedly the most popular over wintering spring onion with succulent stems and that characteristic 'bite'.
Sow Outdoors - August-October thinly 1cm deep and in short rows 8in (20cm) apart directly into harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times until seedlings are established.
Tip - No need to thin, just pull when onions are young and slender. Sow little and often for continuous supply. September and October sowings can be overwintered and may benefit from cloche protection during severe weather. Autumn sowings should be ready in March or earlier in mild weather.
