Description
- Intense flavour and colour
- Resistant to wilt and grey mould
- Self-fertile for guaranteed harvests
Malwina strawberry plants produce lovely dark red fruit with red flesh and a fantastic, deliciously sweet flavour. The fruit of Malwina ripen in July – when the sun is high and so the taste of sun-ripened strawberries in at its most intense.
This variety is truly vigorous, giving you good yields with large fruit well-displayed for picking. Home growers love Malwina for its tolerance to verticillium wilt.
Because Malwina ripens in mid-summer the high sun gives every strawberry an intense colour as well as flavour. On account of its self-fertile nature, you are guaranteed strawberries even when insect numbers are low during a dull summer. Great news for UK strawberry growers who are at the mercy of unpredictable summers.
Protected by a large leaf canopy your strawberries are protected from summer downpours; this keeps grey mould at bay and your strawberries of good quality.
