Nature's Haven Verbascum Snowy Spires Seeds are perfect for a cottage garden. With spires of flowers with ice white and dark magenta centres, these are an impressive addition to any garden.
Snowy Spires will give wonderful summer colour in sunny borders. Usually first-year flowering.
Sowing IndoorsSow in deep pots of pre-watered seed compost and lightly cover with vermiculite or a little more compost. Keep at around 15-18°C (59-64F) away from the light, and allow 2-4 weeks for germination.
Growing OnWhen large enough to handle. transplant into 8cm pots. Slowly acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after frosts.
Planting OutChoose a sunny spot in any well-drained soil. Ensure soil is well-prepared (raked to a fine tilth and weed-free). Plant approximately 30cm apart.
Sowing OutdoorsSow into well-prepared soil and lightly cover. Water the soil as needed. Thin out as they grow to around 30cm apart.
How to grow
Sow seeds on to the surface of pre-watered seed compost, but don't cover them. Keep warm, around 20°C and keep moist, but not wet. Allow 1-2 weeks for germination.
