When it might be difficult for hedgehogs to build their natural nests, this Wooden Hedgehog House will imitate one, offering these garden visitors a safe space to survive the long winter months. This house is made from FSC certified wood and has a waterproof felt roof.
After receiving your hedgehog house, you should place it in a dry, sheltered spot, and then cover with a thick layer of dry leaves and twigs. Avoid placing too many leaves inside, as hedgehogs love to furnish their homes as part of their hibernation routine. The opening should be left clear, and ideally facing south or south-west to avoid northerly winds. This design also has an extendable, narrow entrance which will prevent dogs and badgers from reaching inside, giving you peace of mind that the hedgehogs taking shelter inside will be kept safe.
