We Won Gold At Chelsea

We are thrilled to announce that our ‚ÄėFood for Thought‚Äô garden at the world-famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show has been awarded a Gold by the Royal Horticultural Society!

From the outset, ‚ÄėFood for Thought‚Äô had a clear mission: to inspire the nation to grow fruit and veg alongside flowers, even in the smallest of gardens. With a focus on sustainability, recycling and upcycling, the garden is packed with ideas to inspire the nation to embrace the health benefits of growing-your-own ‚Äď and save hundreds of pounds on supermarket shopping bills in the process!

We are so grateful to garden design expert Jon Wheatley, master vegetable grower Terry Porter and the entire team, which worked around the clock to transform our ‚ÄėFood for Thought‚Äô vision into a medal-winner at the most prestigious flower show in the world! If you‚Äôre heading to Chelsea this week, come along and see the garden for yourself in the Great Pavilion ‚Äď we can‚Äôt wait to show you around!

Classic Chelsea Favourites

From the sweet taste of Strawberry 'Malling Centenary', the classic that was the first ever to be short-listed for Plant of the Year, to the timeless beauty of Geranium 'Rozanne' and the majesty of Delphiniums rising up in the borders. We've cherry-picked some of our Chelsea favourites to grow for this year's show.

Grow Like The Pros

Top Tip - Pinching Sweet Peas

When your plants reach around 10cm tall, pinch out to encourage busy growth. You should also feed your plants with a tomato feed when the buds appear - Jon

Top Tip - Watering Tomatoes

Make sure you keep your tomatoes well watered. This stops them from splitting on the bottoms (when they dry out) and you can look forward to the results - Jon

Top Tip - Supporting Dahlias

If you're growing larger, dinnerplate dahlias, set your canes before planting the tubers, around the edges of the pot. This avoids any damage to the tuber - Jon

Our latest garden update - 11th April

The ferns are coming along nicely, ready to fill the shadier corners of our garden.

We just love dahlias, and ours are sprouting ready to plant in the cut flower garden.
