Your Forget Me Not 'Mon Amie Blue' plants arrive well established and ready to plant straight into their final position in pots, containers, beds or borders.

If you can't plant them immediately, keep them in a bright, sheltered position and make sure they don't dry out. Water before planting if the rootballs feel dry.

Choose a position in full sun or partial shade with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Plant at the same depth they were growing in their tray, gently firm the soil or compost around the roots and water thoroughly after planting.

Space plants around 15–20cm apart to allow their compact, mound-forming growth to knit together into a soft carpet of colour.

Choose pots and containers with good drainage holes and fill with good-quality multipurpose compost. Gently firm the compost rather than packing it down tightly, leaving around 2–3cm below the rim to make watering easier.

Forget Me Not 'Mon Amie Blue' has a compact, mound-forming habit and looks particularly effective planted in groups. Space plants around 15–20cm apart, allowing them enough room to fill out without becoming overcrowded.

In larger pots and window boxes, plant several together for a soft haze of blue or combine them with other spring favourites. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the compost moist but not waterlogged.

Top tip:
Plant Mon Amie Blue towards the front or edges of containers, where its low mounds of blue flowers can spread gently around taller plants without hiding them.

Forget Me Not 'Mon Amie Blue' is a classic partner for spring-flowering bulbs, creating a soft carpet of blue beneath taller flowers.

Plant beneath tulips, daffodils or other spring bulbs and the little blue flowers will fill the spaces around their stems as they emerge. It also combines beautifully with primroses, bellis and violas for a layered spring display.

In borders, use Mon Amie Blue in generous drifts rather than as isolated plants. Its naturally mounding habit works especially well weaving between bulbs and other low-growing spring favourites.

Top tip:
For a really natural look, repeat small groups of forget-me-nots between bulbs rather than planting them in rigid rows. The plants will soften the gaps and help the display feel more established.

Keep your forget-me-nots evenly watered during dry spells, particularly plants growing in pots and containers, but avoid leaving the compost waterlogged.

As flowers fade, pinch or snip off the spent flower stems to keep the plants looking tidy and encourage them to put their energy into fresh growth.

Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves as they appear, especially around the base of the plant where old foliage can collect.

Container-grown plants can be given a liquid feed while actively growing in spring if needed, particularly if they're flowering heavily.

Top tip:
Because Mon Amie Blue stays low and compact, check beneath the foliage when watering to make sure moisture is reaching the compost around the roots rather than just wetting the leaves.
