Description

With its deep purple skin, crisp white flesh and a sweet, peppery taste, Radish ‘Malaga’ is perfect for perking up a salad bowl. Easy to grow and ready to harvest in 4-6 weeks from sowing, it can be grown in between slower growing crops like beans and peas to make maximum use of your veg plot.
Sow outdoors
March-September: Sow thinly 1cm (1⁄2in) deep in rows 15cm (6in) apart, direct in harvest position. Keep soil moist at all times until seedlings are established as dry conditions impair germination. Can be grown in light shade in well drained rich soil. Thin to 5cm (2in) apart.
Tips
Sow little and often for continuous supply. Water plants generously in dry weather to prevent roots becoming woody and peppery. Pick roots whilst small and young.
