- A first in purple French Breakfast radishes
- Excellent for harvesting leaves or juicy roots
- With a satisfying bit to every radish
Sow the seeds of Radish Breakfast Mix and look forward to the new and vibrant colours of these tasty roots perfect for slicing in salads. Felicia makes her debut as the first long and purple French Breakfast radish with a white tip that provides a peppery punch as its aftertaste. Includes the long varieties red and white Slovana and white Rampouch.
All these radishes are quick to grow with your first harvests ready in just four weeks. We recommend that you pull alternate radishes to allow some to reach full size for the crunchy bulbs and some for their leaves which make a great garnish. Sow little and often for continuous supply.
How to sow:
Sow indoors or outdoors to suit your vegetable plot and whether you have a greenhouse to grow seedlings on.
If you have a greenhouse sow seeds thinly indoors in January to March onto the surface of clean trays or pots filled with moist compost specially formulated to grow on seedlings. Place your tray or pots somewhere with an ambient temperature of 15°C (59°F) until transplanting.
Alternatively sow outdoors April to September on a moist seed bed 5cm (2in) apart. Water regularly. We recommend that you cover the seeds the seedlings with a horticultural fleece cover if there is still quite a chill in the air.
