The SureCut Hard Wood Lite Secateurs by Kent & Stowe are designed for powerful, precise cuts through hard and mature wood. Featuring SK5 carbon steel blades and an anvil cutting action, these secateurs deliver a clean, efficient cut without damaging the blades. The lightweight die-cast aluminum frame with a dual-material micro hex grip ensures durability and comfort for effortless pruning. The central lock and adjustable hand sizer make these secateurs suitable for both left and right-handed users.
How to use:
Use SureCut Anvil Secateurs to cut mature, hard wood efficiently. The anvil action allows one blade to close onto a cutting block, reducing effort while making tough cuts. This method avoids damage to live stems and blades, making it ideal for pruning dead wood. After use, maintain the blades by wiping with an oiled cloth and sharpening as needed.
Maintenance and care:
Store in a dry area and clean thoroughly after each use. Avoid leaving outside to prevent rust and damage from moisture. For wood parts, apply linseed oil to prevent cracking, and dry tools completely before storage.
How To Care For Your Secateurs
Taking care of secateurs means they will continue to perform at their peak. We recommend that you don't leave your secateurs outside when not in use. Wipe them after use, and allow them to completely dry. Store them away in a dry environment, such as your greenhouse, shed or garage. Even in dry weather conditions your tools, if left outside, are exposed to moisture from wet grass and dew.
For all wood handled tools such as these secateurs you can even apply a light coating of boiled linseed oil to help prevent the wood from drying out and cracking. If the wooden handle is very dirty, remove as much of the soil as possible. If you need to use water, gently wet the handle with a damp cloth, making sure that you don’t soak the wood, as this may cause the grain to lift and the handle to swell.
